"The Brain loves colour," says Dawn Breslin. Dawn helped put colour back in my life in her latest best selling book "Zest for Life" published by Hay House. She reminded me of my talents.

"This book I would have loved to have written!" I emailed Dawn this thought and with feeling, because it deserves real praise for her easy way of making common sense out of all that I put into my book "Love the Miracle You Are" and much more. It’s brilliant, yet at first I went into victim mode by thinking, "Why couldn’t I have written that book?

Then after reflection and some simple meditation, I plucked up courage to email Dawn to ask her if I could train with her in doing personal development workshops? Her reply was simple and so encouraging saying, "she loved the website" and "Why aren’t I running my own personal growth workshops?"

This brought to consciousness the question, what is stopping me?

Have you known that you are gifted in an area that friends keep saying you are? Yet you deny it for fear of failure or a whole host of negative inner talk and then blame yourself so keep your life stuck on pause?

"I love you and I will never harm you, even when life gets tough."

Talents come even in prison!

Potato Garden

An old man lived alone in Sydney. He wanted to spade his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, Blue, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament.

Dear Blue,

I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my potato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot for me.

                              Love Dad


A few days later he received a letter from his son.

Dear Dad,

For heaven's sake, dad, don't dig up that garden, that's where I buried the loot from the heist.

                          Love, Blue


At 4 A.M. the next morning, Federal Agents and local police showed up and dug up the entire area without finding any money. They apologized to the old man and left. That same day the old man received another letter from his son......


Dear Dad,

Go ahead and plant the potatoes now. That's the best I could do under the circumstances.

                           Love Blue.
