Counsellor's Diary
Asking the Higher Self for inner guidance When I counsel a soul who enters my garden-counselling hut, I silently ask for divine guidance and protection for us both. When I do this from a compassionate and truly caring intention, I find the true miracle of a soul unfolding their pain and receiving, maybe difficult, yet positive insights into their healing path. My phone is often ringing with a distant voice crying, "Can I come and see you?" I feel humble that someone who does not know me is willing to trust me. Yet I know that to call on divine guidance is a must even with some of the practical down to earth talent that I have mustered over 40 years. Then everything in life feels like a miracle. When I forget to ask this higher self to be there I also forget to give thanks. Remember just to ask and give thanks to the power within, this I believe is your higher self that is connected to the infinite intelligence. Flower Show A gardening joke from http://home.golden.net/~dhobson/ Two older ladies were sitting on a park bench outside the local town hall where a flower show was in progress. One leaned over and said, "Life is so boring. We never have any fun anymore. For $5.00 I'd take my clothes off right now and streak through that stupid flower show!" "You're on!" said the other old lady, holding up a $5.00 bill. As fast as she could, the first little old lady fumbled her way out of her clothes and, completely naked, streaked through the front door of the flower show. Waiting outside, her friend soon heard a huge commotion inside the hall, followed by loud applause. The naked lady burst out through the door surrounded by a cheering crowd. "What happened?" asked her waiting friend. "Why, I won first prize for Best Dried Arrangement."
