Soul Talk News  Volume 33

""If I have been of service, if I have glimpsed more of the nature and essence
of ultimate good, if I am inspired to reach wider horizons of thought and
action, if I am at peace with myself, it has been a successful day."

Counsellor's Diary

The Gentle Art of Blessing & Bridge Building

Good morning, soul readers, it is 4 am in the UK and I am 58 on the 10th April. I feel blessed with abundant love and I want to quote from a beautiful book by Pierre Pradervand, called: "The Gentle Art of Blessing"

“On awakening, bless this day, for it is already full of unseen good which your blessings will call forth, for to bless is to acknowledge the unlimited good that is embedded in the very texture of the universe and awaiting each and all.”

This blessing goes on a little later,

“To bless is to acknowledge the omnipresent, universal beauty hidden from material eyes; it is to activate that law of attraction which, from the furthest reaches of the universe, will bring into your life exactly what you need to experience and enjoy.”

The book is a delight to the soul by building bridges to knowing we are all one with our creator, every soul and everything. I promise you if you read this blessing daily your soul will love life despite the pain you may have or are experiencing now.

Thanks.

Recently I met a lovely man called Colin from the Scarman trust who financed my latest book called YOU DESERVE LOVE.

I want to give thanks for souls like him quietly helping people in local communities to finance their visions. May all souls who fill in forms to further peace and joy in communities be blessed with inner wisdom and patience!

Bridge Building

Once upon a time two brothers who lived on adjoining farms fell into conflict. It was the first serious rift in 40 yrs of farming side by side, sharing machinery, and trading labour and goods as needed without a hitch.

Then the long collaboration fell apart. It began with a small misunderstanding and it grew into a major difference, and finally it exploded into an exchange of bitter words followed by weeks of silence.

One morning there was a knock on John's door. He opened it to find a man with a carpenter's toolbox. "I'm looking for a few days work," he said.

"Perhaps you would have a few small jobs here and there. Could I help you?"

"Yes," said the older brother. "I do have a job for you. Look across the creek at that farm. That's my neighbour; in fact, it's my younger brother. Last week there was a meadow between us and he took his bulldozer to the river levee and now there is a creek between us. Well, he may have done this to spite me, but I'll go him one better. See that pile of lumber curing by the barn? I want you to build me a fence - an 8-foot fence - so I won't need to see his place anymore. Cool him down, anyhow."

The carpenter said, "I think I understand the situation. Show me the nails and the post-hole digger and I'll be able to do a job that pleases you."

The older brother had to go to town for supplies, so he helped the carpenter get the materials ready and then he was off for the day.

The carpenter worked hard all that day measuring, sawing, nailing. About sunset when the farmer returned, the carpenter had just finished his job. The farmer's eyes opened wide, his jaw dropped.

There was no fence there at all. It was a bridge... a bridge stretching from one side of the creek to the other! A fine piece of work handrails and all - and the neighbour, his younger brother, was coming across, his hand outstretched.

"You are quite a fellow to build this bridge after all I've said and done."

The two brothers stood at each end of the bridge, and then they met in the middle, taking each other's hand. They turned to see the carpenter hoist his toolbox on his shoulder. "No, wait! Stay a few days. I've a lot of other projects for you," said the older brother.

"I'd love to stay on," the carpenter said, but I have many more bridges to build.

Being "over the hill" is much better than being under it!

I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

Consciousness: That annoying time between naps.

My husband and I divorced over religious differences. He thought he was God and I didn't.

Thanks to Psychiatrists for being open minded!

I want to thank a very human man who is a psychiatrist Robert Orange for giving me the chance to talk about the healing process to his colleagues. If you are interested in my talk, do email me and I will send you copy.
