I have just returned from my wife’s successful art exhibition and a woman came up and said, "I have lost my creativity and dream, I just go through the motions of my life." I suggested she take the Invitation above and begin to accept the invitation to meditate on her vision and re-find her path.

My own lovely daughter is taking exams and needs to talk; this may involve feelings and emotions, so often our academic exams test only a fraction of our real inner intelligence. When I ask a client, who may have a high degree of academic success, "What are you thinking and feeling?" About a personal issue in their life, the highly intelligent person will often say, "I don’t know, nobody ever asked me what I feel they just wanted to know what I knew." It’s like an emotional void opens up, their emotional intelligence has been arrested in a time zone way back in their past.

Academic intelligence sometimes bypasses our inner awareness and our ability to think in our own minds.

A sign was hung in an office window. It read:

Help wanted. Must type 70 words a minute. Must be computer literate. Must be bilingual. An equal opportunity employer.

A dog was ambling down the street and saw the sign. He looked at it for a moment, pulled it down with his mouth, and walked into the manager’s office, making it clear he wished to apply for the job.

The office manager laughed and said, "I can't hire a dog for this job."

The dog pointed to the line: "An equal opportunity employer."

So the manager said, "OK, take this letter and type it." The dog went off to the word processor and returned a minute later with the finished letter, perfectly formatted.

The manager said, "Alright, here's a problem. Write a computer program for it and run it."

Fifteen minutes later, the dog came back with the correct answer.

The manager still wasn't convinced. "I still can't hire you for this position. You've got to be bilingual."

The dog looked up at the manager and said, "Meow."

Chapter 17

Creating an affirmation I have just left a young man who asked me to help him create thoughts that would build the life he truly wanted. Here are some practical "Laws" and "How to’s". The Law: Remember you are putting your thoughts out into a law of mind that will give you whatever you think and say. It will come back to you as experience. If we think and say "I am no good, nobody loves me", that is what the law of mind will give you in experience. Now imagine saying what you truly want with creative loving intentions and creative loving words, you will receive back from this universal mind exactly what you are thinking and speaking with interest.

Remember affirmations work on you telling the subconscious mind with an emotional charge what you would like to experience in reality. Remember your subconscious mind cannot take a joke.
